Torus

Eight FPGA boards, 4ns apart

Up to 8 board positions in 2RU · 160×160 lanes of Layer 1 fabric · Flexible front I/O

LDA Torus is an FPGA compute platform with Layer 1 interconnect: up to eight FPGA boards in 2RU, with front I/O configured to the deployment and boards interconnected on top of it, either through the LDA Maze crosspoint switch or by direct cabling. Boards reach each other in nanoseconds, and the host CPU spends no cycles steering data between them.

LDA Torus: 2RU chassis, extensible from 1RU, up to 8 FPGA board positions across two floors.

Different Industries, One Platform

Low latency, heavy compute,
one chassis

What a Torus does depends on how its positions are populated. The same chassis serves execution paths measured in nanoseconds and workloads measured in teraflops.

I/O Cards

Set the front panel

Three swappable card types, combined in any mix.

LDA Technologies | SFP

16 × 10/25G

SFP

Single-lane ports for the highest drop count.

QSFP Torus

8 cages → 32 links

QSFP

Break out to 40/100G trunks or 25G lanes.

QSFP-dd_torus_lda

8 cages → 64 links

QSFP-DD

Double-density cages — the most links per card.

Benefits

LDA FPGA Boards

Populate the positions, define the system

Torus hosts LDA FPGA boards and other PCIe boards with common clock synchronization. Mixed positions also accept third-party accelerators, typically GPUs.
