NeoMux Ultimate 10G

Advanced Muxing Solution

Powered by LDA's NEO platform latest hardware and networking IP advances, NeoMux Ultimate 10G delivers a significant upgrade to our industry leading ultra-low latency muxing product.

FPGA-based simple switching devices (muxes) are used by the vast majority of trading firms as they provide much lower latency compared to regular switches. Prop trading firms also combine muxing with the use of a Layer 1 fabric to bring downstream traffic latency down to the bare minimum. A conventional switch must still be present in the network to facilitate required Layer 3 communication to the exchange, such as BGP protocol, static multicast subscriptions and so on.

Most market participants also need to obtain very accurate timestamps on all ingress and egress traffic, however, this adds even more devices, cabling and complexity into the setup.

LDA NeoMux Ultimate is an integrated solution that combines ultra-low latency mux and layer 1 fabric with certain features of LDA's NeoTap timestamping and tap aggregation system: extremely accurate timestamping (with optional White Rabbit and PPS synchronization), timestamped traffic rebroadcast via a dedicated 100G port at the back of the device, and a reasonable capture capability right on the device. NeoMux Ultimate can also run BGP and other Layer 3 protocols right on the device, effectively eliminating the need for a conventional Layer 3 switch.

This means that a single LDA NeoMux Ultimate 10G Solution can replace 3, or more, devices on your rack, while providing industry-leading mux and Layer 1 fabric latencies.
