LDA Technologies releases a Next-Gen AMD Versal HBM FPGA board with a unique design, ultra-low latency UltraRAM, and LDA's signature dual jitter attenuators.
The Orion HBM features the AMD Versal VH1582 FPGA chip in -2 and -3 speed grades. With a combined total of 96 GB HBM and DDR4 memory, and bandwidth close to 9 Tb per second, the Orion HBM is perfectly suited for ultra-high-performance applications such as Complex Simulations, High Frequency Trading, Programmable Networking, Cryptography, and Data Centers.
The Orion HBM seamlessly integrates with all LDA platforms, including Neo and Unity. When installed in Neo, the Orion HBM card offers up to 48 10/25 Gbps capable SFP ports, along with PCIe 4.0 x16 and 2x 400 Gbps QSFP-DD ports. In the Unity chassis, each installed board provides eight QSFP-DD ports. Both Neo and Unity support up to three Orion HBM boards.
AMD Versal HBM series FPGAs are a heterogeneous computing platform engineered to help users reach the highest acceleration levels for a wide range of compute-intensive data center workloads by providing the highest computing density, custom memory hierarchy, and massive on-chip memory.
Add-on I/O Cards
LDA Orion HBM series boards allow for I/O customizations tailored to a customer's specific needs: different types and number of ports, extra functionality such as L1, and any other customization that will benefit LDA customers.
The Orion HBM has nine Samtec AcceleRate® Slim Socket high speed connectors supporting data rates up to 56 Gbps with connectivity for 8 bidirectional SerDes channels each, giving I/O cards access to a total of 84 transceivers on the FPGA chip (52 GTYP, 16 GTYP for PCIe 5.0, and 16 GTM). Users can design applications tailored to their I/O requirements by creating combinations of GTYP and GTM transceivers using suitable connectors.
Available with an LDA OSC-DD2 (2x QSFP-DD ports) I/O card, or pair it with the LDA D6 Mark II, adding 3x QSFP-DD ports and Layer 1 for an even more powerful solution.
Up to four cards can be attached if additional or other types of connections are required. Contact LDA for other connection options.
