LDA D6 Mark II

Layer 1 Server Add-on

With sub-nanosecond roundtrip latency, the D6 is the lowest latency Layer 1 switching product available today.

The D6 Mark II is a PCIe card that provides Layer 1 switching with sub-nanosecond roundtrip latency. The card has one QSFP and two QSFPDD ports at the front, and two AcceleRate® Slim Sockets at the back: providing a total of 36 10G lanes with full mesh interconnect. AcceleRate sockets allow you to connect the D6 to an FPGA board installed in the same server, or to interconnect multiple D6 cards to form a daisy chain of Layer 1 fabrics.

Using AcceleRate sockets, the D6 can:

  • Connect to an FPGA board installed in the same server.
  • Interconnect with other D6 cards, creating a daisy chain of Layer 1 fabrics.

Product Highlights

  • Down to 800 picoseconds roundtrip latency.
  • 2x QSFP DD and 1x QSFP ports.
  • 2x AcceleRate Slim Socket connectors.
  • Full mesh Layer 1 replication for 36 12.5 Gbps lanes.

Per-Port Latency

The table below contains per-port per-lane per-direction latency. To get the latency of a particular route, take the RX latency of the source port (incoming lane) and the TX latency of the destination port (outgoing lane) and add them together.

All measurements were performed with 31ps accuracy using LDA's Time-Of-Flight Latency Measurement solution.
